Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota - journalist, writer, host of CNN's "New day" morning show, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. For the past three decades in journalistic work, Camerota has covered stories worldwide and nationally, earning the Emmy Award for her breaking news coverage on the arrest by Roger Stone, and the most prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award for her news breaking coverage of the effects of Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was named honorary trustee for her service as the board's chair since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport was elected chair of the board following a tenure on the Board from 2013. Czekaj-Farber succeeds Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was board chair since October of 2015 and has continued serving on the board from 2006. The board of trustees comprises the following 26 persons.
