Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14 years old. Along with BJJ as well, she was also trained in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, Ladd made her first appearance as an amateur in WCFC. Ladd had an amazing 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent in the very first round. Aspen went back to WCFC for the purpose of defeating Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous ruling. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia gave Aspen an unanimity loss and beat her in a match that tarnished Ladd's amateur career. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent match against Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen signed her contract with Invicta FC in 2015 to make her debut as a professional. InvictaFC 11 was her first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta Fc16 was Aspen's first fight in the Bantamweight division. She defeated Amanda Cooper with an armbar during the second round. Aspen employed the strong skills she had learned in wrestling to defeat McGill. She ended the fight with a TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. She fought Hoy in an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd didn't make weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the second round with a TKO. As for her final fight for Promotion, she beat Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina with her ground and pound techniques, resulting in an TKO 2nd round win. When she next faced Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round, and was awarded an outstanding performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes was in the UFC's Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first match she's had in a major role. Ladd, who won the unanimous decision after a great back-and forth fight between the two fighters received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. After a break of a few seconds after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a recent match replacement to UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
